CIME S.r.l. · Crescenzi Induction Melting, with registered office at P.zza Vittorio Veneto 4 – 10123 – Torino (TO), Italy (the «Company» or the «Controller»), provides below the information on navigation data and on the operation of cookies and other tracking tools within the website cime-srl.com (the «Website»). This notice covers the Company's Website only, and not third-party websites that may be reached through links on the Website.

This Cookie Policy must be read together with the Company's Privacy Notice, to which reference is made for any further information on the processing of your personal data.

1. Navigation data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified persons, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used to connect to the Website, URI addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's response and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Website and to check its proper functioning, and is retained for the time strictly necessary, without prejudice to the ascertainment of liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the Website.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are, as a rule, text strings that the websites visited by the user («first party»), or different websites or web servers («third parties»), place and store on a terminal device available to the user. Browsers can store cookies and transmit them back to the sites that generated them on a subsequent visit, thus keeping memory of the previous interaction. The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address or a unique identifier, but also non-personal data, such as language settings.

The classification that primarily serves user protection is based on three macro-categories: technical cookies, used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user; profiling cookies, used to attribute specific actions or recurring behavioural patterns to identified subjects, in order to serve targeted advertising; analytics cookies, used to measure traffic and evaluate the effectiveness of a website. Under current legislation, technical cookies only require this notice, while other tracking tools may be used exclusively upon acquisition of the user's free, specific and informed consent, expressed through the banner on the Website.

3. Cookies used by the Website

This Website sets no cookies before your choice: a consent banner is shown on the first visit. The Website uses no profiling cookies, no marketing cookies and no third-party cookies. Only if you accept, the first-party cookies listed below are set; if you reject, the only cookie stored is the technical one recording your choice.

The statistics service is Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), configured with IP anonymisation and Google Consent Mode v2; data is used exclusively to produce aggregate statistics on the use of the Website. Provider's notice: policies.google.com/privacy.

All browsers allow cookie settings to be changed, usually in the «options» or «preferences» menus; if cookies are entirely blocked in the browser, some Website features (such as remembering your consent choice) may not work properly.

4. External content without cookies

The location map on the contact page is a static image served directly by the Website (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors): it sets no cookies and contacts no third party; clicking it opens Google Maps in a new tab, subject to Google's own notice. The background videos are delivered through the Cloudflare network as plain media files: our technical audit found no cookies set by this service.

5. Withdrawal of consent and rights

You have the right to withdraw, at any time, the consent given for the installation of one or more categories of cookies; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. Consent can be changed or withdrawn through the dedicated feature of the Website:

If you refuse non-technical cookies, consent will not be requested again before at least six months have passed since the banner was last shown. For the exercise of the other rights provided by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection), please refer to the Privacy Notice. If you believe the processing does not comply with the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.gpdp.it).
